What are the cautions for using Sulfasalazine?
G6PD deficiency, allergy to aspirin or sulphonamides (cross-sensitivity).
What are the adverse effects of Sulfasalazine?
Oligospermia, Stevens-Johnson syndrome, pneumonitis/lung fibrosis, myelosuppression, Heinz body anemia, megaloblastic anemia; may color tears and stain contact lenses.
Is Sulfasalazine safe during pregnancy and breastfeeding?
